As a family physician in the Ottawa, Ontario area, he owns and runs the Vitality Health and Cosmetic Clinic. In addition, he is an emergency physician on an as-needed basis at the Maniwaki General Hospital.

Making His Mark Through the Years

With over two decades of experience in medicine, Dr. Alhoussan was a valedictorian of his high school class. He also earned a Masters in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in 1989 from the Damascus Medical School. When he went to Damascus for ENT training, he was chosen as one of six from a pool of 600 applicants. He is truly one-of-a-kind.

He learned his trade practicing under Professor Louis Trainssac at the University of Bordeaux in France. He then made the move to Canada and Family Medicine earning a degree in 2006 from Laval University in Quebec City, QC.

He holds a license in both Ontario as well as Quebec to practice medicine. Speaker of three languages (Arabic, English, and French), he can manage a very busy medical center and create personal connections no matter who enters.

Philanthropist First Approach

Dr. Alhoussan has a philanthropy-first approach to assisting with what he knows of family medicine. His ENT specialty allows him to assist in the Maniwaki, QC area. These are folks who so desperately need medicinal experts, but the supply of such professionals is quite lacking.

He engages in charity yearly. He frequents donations to the Red Cross, local firefighters, the Ottawa police, refugees, food banks, and the Humane Society, as well as efforts to help fight diabetes and cardiac diseases. He also sponsors orphans internationally in Africa and Syria.
